Return Policy
If you would like to return a product, you may do so only in accordance with the following Return Policy as set out in this section:
1. Products may be returned for a refund within 14 days of receipt of the order, provided that they comply with this policy.
2. All products must be returned in their original condition, preferably packed and secured with the original product packaging. Please contact us for assistance in packaging lamps and/or shades, as both are very fragile and require special packaging instructions.
3. Incomplete, damaged, soiled, or altered products, or any items that Madame Garage reasonably believes have been used incorrectly before being returned, will not be accepted and will not be refunded or exchanged.
4. Certain types of products may not be returned, including, without limitation, any products that are personalized, bespoke, or otherwise made to order, or any items specified as non-returnable at the point of purchase (for example, sale items).
5. Refunds will be made to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods.
6. Delivery charges will not be refunded. If a promotional discount was applied to your order, the same discount will be applied when calculating your refund, such that the amount refunded will reflect the actual price you paid for the goods.
7. Where all or part of your purchase was paid for with a Madame Garage gift card, please see the relevant terms and conditions regarding any returns. If a complimentary gift was issued with your purchase, this must also be returned with your goods.
8. We monitor the number of returns made by our customers. Repeated returns will be noted and may, at our discretion, lead to the closure of your Madame Garage online account.
9. This Returns Policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including, where applicable, your right to cancel an order placed on the website within 14 days of receipt of your order and your rights in respect of faulty or defective goods.
How long do you have to return an item?
For online and in-store purchases, you have up to 14 days from receipt of the item to return the goods, subject to our Return Policy.
How to return your order?
If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return the products within 14 days of receipt. Please ensure the items are shipped in the original packaging and in the same condition as received. Because our items are very fragile, returning them to our store in Haarlem (Donkere Spaarne 26 zw) is the safest option.
If you prefer to ship your order, please follow the steps below:
1. Send an email to contact@madamegarage.nl and tell us which item(s) you would like to return.
2. Pack the item(s) carefully and add the completed return form to the package. Send the package to:

PLEASE NOTE:
The return shipping costs are your responsibility. Madame Garage is not responsible for any damages or loss during return shipment. We recommend that you follow our instructions carefully and keep proof of postage.
Tips for packing your return
- Wrap the lamp base and shade separately with enough bubble wrap to cover all sides.
- Place the lamp base on a layer of wrapping material and secure it in the box.
- Put packaging material around the edges so that it cannot move.
- Be very careful with the shades to prevent dents.
- Fill empty spaces carefully with (wrapping) paper or bubble wrap to ensure the lamp base or shade doesn't touch the sides of the box.
- If you turn the box upside down, everything should remain firmly in place.
In-Store Returns
- Our in-store returns policy allows a full refund or exchange within 14 days, provided that goods are returned in their original condition and accompanied by a receipt.
- Goods without a receipt cannot be returned.
- Refunds will be made against the original form of tender, except for purchases made by cash or gift card/coin/voucher.
- Items bought in the sale or at promotional events may not be returned for exchange or refund.
- The following items are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged: custom-made items; limited edition items; personalized items; special orders; vintage items; items bought in sale; cut lengths of fabric; gift cards.
REFUNDS & EXCHANGE
Damaged or incorrect items
If you have received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us via contact@madamegarage.nl and include a photo of the damage. We will send you a shipping label with which you can return the product(s).
When do you receive a refund?
Refunds will be made back to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods.
